Travel plan with Singapore Airlines SG60 Deals

So, I was doing a bit of travel planning / daydreaming the other day (as you do!), especially with all the buzz about Singapore turning 60 (SG60!).

While Browsing, I saw from Singapore Airlines that looks like SIA is celebrating SG60 in a big way with some seriously good flight deals right now! If you’re thinking about a trip anytime between now and mid-November 2025, you’ll want to check this out.

So, what really caught my eye is that this isn’t just for one cabin class; they’ve got deals across Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class, flying to heaps of destinations worldwide. Now, you do need to act relatively fast if you’re interested – the sale only runs until 24th April 2025 for booking, which isn’t that far away! If you manage to grab a deal, the travel itself can be anytime between 12th April and 19th November this year. One important heads-up though: they do mention some dates might be excluded (those pesky blackout periods), so definitely double-check your preferred travel dates when you’re searching for your specific route.

Where can you go? (Spoiler: Lots of places!)

I peeked at the list, and honestly, the starting prices look pretty sweet. I saw things like:

  • Quick hops to Kuala Lumpur starting from just $148 (!!)
  • Hong Kong from $298
  • Bali (Denpasar) from $268
  • Fan favourite, like Seoul from $608, Tokyo from $728
  • Even Europe looks good, with Paris or Frankfurt starting from $928, and London from $998 in Economy.

(Obviously, these are the “from” prices, subject to availability and when you fly, but definitely promising! You’ll need to search your specific destination and dates on the SIA site to see the final price).

But Wait, There’s More! (The Icing on the Cake)

On top of the fares, they’re throwing in some extra goodies:

  1. A Lucky Draw: You can actually register for a chance to win a pair of Business Class tickets to Seoul, a 2-night hotel stay there (at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, fancy!), AND $600 in Pelago vouchers for tours/activities. Pretty cool prize! You just need to pop your details in here to enter.
  2. Mastercard Bonus: If you happen to book with a Mastercard and spend over $800, you can register here to snag a $60 dining voucher for places like The Marmalade Pantry. Nice little bonus if you were booking anyway!
  3. Pelago Discounts: Planning tours or activities? They’ve got codes for Pelago (SIA’s activity booking platform) until April 24th:
    • PELFLYSG60 gets you $60 off if you spend $100+.
    • PELFLYSG15 gets you 15% off if you spend $80+. Good for sorting out some sightseeing! You can check out Pelago here.

My Go-To Tips for Saving on SIA Flights (Beyond This Sale!)

Seeing a great sale like this always reminds me of a few things I try to do generally when booking flights, especially with a quality airline like SIA where fares aren’t always budget-level:

  • Flexibility is Key: If you can shift your dates even by a day or two, or fly mid-week, you can often find better prices. Same goes for being open to when you travel (avoiding peak holidays if possible).
  • Join KrisFlyer: Seriously, just do it. It’s free, you earn miles even on many promo fares (check the fare rules!), and miles = cheaper future flights or upgrades. Plus, members sometimes get early birds on sales.
  • Tap into the Kris+ App (and its Referral Bonus!): This is related to KrisFlyer but focused on earning and spending miles on everyday things like dining and shopping here in Singapore (and some overseas spots). Download the Kris+ app, link your KrisFlyer account, and definitely check out their referral programme. If you share your unique link from the app (‘Refer and Earn’ in your Account section) and a friend signs up (or logs in if they already have KrisFlyer) using your link, and then makes their first transaction on the app (like earning miles at a partner, paying with miles, or transferring some in), both of you get a bonus 750 KrisPay miles!
  • Speaking of which, if you don’t have Kris+ yet and want to sign up (and grab those bonus miles for both of us!), you can use my referral link here: https://sqkrisplus.page.link/mz29zHAfChjhYog29.
  • Subscribe & Alert: Sign up for their email newsletter. That’s often how you hear about sales like this SG60 one first! You can also set fare alerts for specific routes on various travel sites.
  • Know Your Fare Types: SIA has ‘Lite’, ‘Standard’, ‘Flexi’ etc. within each cabin. ‘Lite’ is cheapest but often means less baggage, no changes, fewer miles. Make sure you pick the one that actually suits your needs – sometimes paying slightly more for ‘Standard’ is worth it.
  • Check Partner Offers: Always worth a quick look on their site for ongoing deals with banks (like the Mastercard one), hotels, or car rentals.

Should You Jump On It?

Well, I’m definitely tempted! If you’ve got travel plans simmering for later this year, this looks like a genuinely good opportunity to lock something in, especially with a top-tier airline.

Just remember the sale ends April 24th, 2025.

You can search for flights and see all the details directly on the Singapore Airlines website.

Happy planning, and let me know if you manage to snag something great – guess it’s time to wing it!

Cheers

P.S. Just a quick note: All these deals and prices are subject to availability and the usual terms & conditions. Always best to double-check everything on the SIA site before you book!
